A beautiful vintage Escada by Margaretha Ley coat in a delicate pale mint shade with soft grey undertones. Its generous silhouette, sculptural sleeves and distinctive panel construction create an elegant statement, while the understated pastel colour gives the design a fresh, timeless appeal.
Made from a luxurious blend of 70% alpaca and 30% new wool, the fabric has a softly textured surface that adds depth to the simple, monochromatic design. Dropped shoulders and roomy sleeves create a relaxed shape, gently balanced by buttoned cuff tabs. The loose cut allows space for layering over knitwear, tailoring or a favourite dress.
The overlapping front features tonal buttons and an off-centre fastening near the collar. Worn closed, the collar frames the neck with a clean, structured line; left open, it reveals broad lapels for a more relaxed look. Pronounced seams run across the chest and upper back and continue vertically through the body, giving the coat its distinctive architectural character.
Two angled welt pockets complete the front, while a smooth, colour-coordinated lining finishes the interior. The original “Escada by Margaretha Ley” label states “Made in W. Germany.”
