Vintage 1970s H. Lans Metallic Black Zip-Front Shirt Jacket – Philippe Jordon Paris
A striking vintage shirt jacket with a dark metallic sheen, an elongated silhouette and a beautifully exaggerated pointed collar. Combining utility-inspired details with a sleek, glamorous finish, this piece brings a distinctive seventies mood to both everyday outfits and evening looks.
The black fabric catches the light in shades of charcoal and pewter, highlighting its fine woven texture and giving the surface an almost liquid appearance. The subtle shimmer adds depth to the monochrome design, while tonal stitching keeps the overall look clean and understated.
Two large chest pockets with flaps and pleated detailing lend the front a safari-inspired character. A central zip fastening provides a streamlined finish and allows the neckline to be worn open to show off the dramatic collar, or zipped higher for a sharper look. Horizontal yoke detailing across the chest adds structure and balances the long lines of the body.
The gently shaped waist creates a flattering silhouette without losing the relaxed feel of a shirt jacket. Long sleeves finish in broad fastening cuffs, while the curved shirttail hem makes the piece particularly easy to wear untucked. At the back, a shoulder yoke and a central stitched panel continue the tailored detailing.
The garment bears an H. Lans label, alongside a second label reading “Édité par Philippe Jordon Paris – Modèle Déposé.”
Style it with flared trousers and platform boots for a seventies-inspired outfit, or pair it with slim black trousers and silver jewellery for an understated evening look. It also works beautifully worn open over a simple camisole, allowing the metallic finish and statement collar to take centre stage.
